Days with Sage

Handmade Artifacts

Days with Sage extends my studio practice into functional objects for daily life — bags, pouches, scarves, pillows, and small home accessories.

This body of work grew out of the early days of my chornic illness journey when time in the fabric studio was shared with my constant companion, my elderly cat Sage. Making things became a way to move through that period, and companionship became part of the process itself. Each piece is shaped by those day-to-day moments of time spent working, problem solving, and finding stability through making.

Color, pattern, and repetition function here as they do in the original work — through rhythm, variation, and return. The collection is deliberately accessible in scale and price, offering an entry point into the studio for people who want to start small.

While these items are designed to be functional, they also carry the story of how they were made. Think of each one as a snapshot of that journey: an artifact of healing, companionship, and the act of creating something useful by hand.
